The midweek SMS (Streatham & Marlborough Sweep) is back! For those new members, this is a weekly update of news, fixtures, results and match reports to keep you in the loop with what’s going on at Streatham & Marlborough Cricket Club. This edition contains details of the busy social period and the return to league action for all teams. On to the upcoming events…

 

News / Events

New Player Welcome Drinks – Saturday 9th May
Coinciding with the start of the league season, we would like to invite all existing members to welcome any new faces for the season. Bar will be open until late, there will be food available and there is a rumour of a trip to Inferno’s (which I’m just starting now…).

Chairman’s 60th Birthday – Saturday 16th May
Our marvellous Chairman, John Greenwood, will be celebrating his 60th birthday at the club next month. Get it in your diaries, it promises to be a great evening. All members are welcome to help him bring in this milestone. Poster attached with RSVP details, there is also a Facebook invite.

Presidents’ Day – Sunday 24th May
There will be the usual day of food, cricket and copious amounts of rum punch on this bank holiday weekend with our President, Peter (Coach/Grizz/Phil Banks/Chef from South Park) Edwards, putting out an invitational XI to play against Chairman’s XI. All welcome to come and enjoy the day!
