Dear all,

After last weeks washout, let’s hope to get out there this weekend.

 Club Tournament – Saturday 28th July 2012

As the cycling road race has forced the cancellation of all Surrey Championship League games, we would like to take this opportunity to organise a BBQ and cricket tournament using the home pitches. With the weather forcing a number of cancellations, this is a great chance for the club to do a bit of fundraising and for you to play a bit of cricket! Chris Sowton (christian.sowton@kcl.ac.uk) and Martin Thompson (martin.thompson@argentrehab.co.uk) will be organising the games, so please contact them direct if you are keen to play or sign up using the link below. Also, feel free to invite friends, family, cheerleaders etc to enjoy the day.

Coaching
Lassana Dias, our overseas professional, is available for one on one coaching sessions. If you would like some personal coaching with Lass, please contact him on 07448 736 258. There will be a cost, which can be arranged directly with Lass.

Sunday Captain

Many thanks to Marcus Shukla and Jon Doherty for stepping forward and offering to do the 6th X1 captaincy, but we are still in need of a skipper to lead the Sunday 1st X1 (in friendly games). If anyone is interested, please contact Mark Bartolo as soon as possible.

Nets

With the inclement weather around, if you have a session booked on the bowling machine and need to know if the session is on, you can contact Kash on 07534 655 532. For those that are unaware, Kasheef Hassan (1st XI player and qualified coach) will be conducting free 1:1 training sessions in the nets using the club bowling machine. If you would like to take this opportunity to develop your batting skills, please sign up using the following link: http://tinyurl.com/7ydmrg8. The first time you use this service you will need to create an account (which is free and takes less than a minute).

Outdoor furniture

As you will notice, Marta and Natalie from the ladies side have done a fantastic job in sourcing plastic chairs. We are in need of more, so please keep your ear to the ground on this, but in the meantime, thank them for your comfort!
