The summer camps have been split into 3 levels.
Beginner: School years 3,4,5 unless they are very experienced cricketers. Sports clothing required.
Intermediate: School years 5,6,7,8 with appropriate hard ball experience, so a beginner year 8 or experienced year 5. Hardball. Protective cricket equipment required although club can supply some equipment if required.
Advanced: School years 7,8,9 for cricketers that have been playing for several years of hard ball cricket. Full protective equipment required.
The summer camps start at 09:30 and finish at 17:00. Children will be asked to bring a healthy packed lunch. Drinks and fruit snacks will be provided.
Days will be a mixture of fun games, intensive cricket training, short and long format matches (especially at advanced level) as well as competitions and the inevitable occasional wet weather. If rain is forecast then outdoor activities may well continue even if not entirely cricket based so appropriate changes of clothing may be needed.
Children are welcome to book for individual days as well as for a full 4 day courses. Activities will be designed to be varied throughout the week. The lead coaches are level 2 ECB trained cricket coaches with support from 2 experienced trainee cricket coaches.
We look forward to having a great summer at SMCC developing our local colts and preparing them for them for further involvement playing at SMCC.
Payment for courses can either be done on line via the PayPal link or direct into the club bank account using the following bank details. Once a booking has been confirmed a form will be sent out to obtain more details about each child.
